How can I tell what size dress I need?
When determining the required size, precise measurements are essential. But don’t worry, our Sales Team is trained to put each group member in a size based on your measurements. When measuring each group member, be sure to use a flexible measuring tape and only measure over tight-fitting clothes. This will ensure the most accurate measurements for a gown that fits great. What is the skirt length of your dresses?
The length of a skirt is typically measured from the wearer’s natural waist down to the bottom of the garment. All of our Band Shoppe custom concert dresses are longer and come unhemmed to allow for a more tailored fit.
What can I do if my skirt is too long?
While we strive for a custom fit, our uniforms and gowns are not tailored to fit each body. Modifications, including skirt length and hemming, will need to be done by a seamstress in your area. Band Shoppe does not provide this service.
Should I pad our measurements to leave room for students to grow?
No, absolutely not. For the best fit, we need your group’s exact measurements. Failure to provide the most accurate measurements will result in a garment that is significantly larger than needed or poorly proportioned.
