Jim Wunderlich Series JW4 Medium Hard Birch Marimba Mallets from Promark speaks well in the mid to high range of the marimba, yet retains a warm, rich sound. Constructed with a synthetic rubber core wrapped in synthetic yarn. Features a lacquered birch handle for a silky smooth finish. Durable enough for outdoor environments, the lush tone of these mallets is also an appropriate and tasteful choice for indoor concert or marching settings.
Promark injection molds all mallet cores in-house using a patented insert design. They then thread the mallets onto shafts and bond them with epoxy. A proprietary wrapping method allows for variable tension, angle, and index throughout every layer of yarn, which significantly extends the life of the mallet and improves consistency.
