GAURD SHOES, BOOTS, AND SANDALS AT BAND SHOPPE
Choosing the right color guard shoe that will fit the performance while taking care of your feet is important, especially after those long hours of rehearsals! Since not all shoes are made the same, consider where your group will be performing. Some guard shoes are made specifically for indoor use, while others are good for both indoor and outdoor performances. For instance, DSI's Starlite 2 dance shoe is great for outdoor performances, but if your performance is high-step marching rather than dance-oriented you may opt for tall Holly boots from Dinkles. Capezio Footundeez guard sandal is designed for indoor use only, making it ideal for winterguard performances.

Does it match your new uniform? Some shoes, like the Ultimate Grecian Sandal and the StylePLUS S-Five Performance Guard Shoe, feature a raised heel that can be great for pairing with dress styles that benefit from a more formal look. While the Freestyle Guard Shoe and the Fierce and Rock It Dansneakers feature sneaker-like lines that pair well with athletic styles. Both the StylePLUS Releve Platinum and the DSI Ever-Jazz Guard Shoe feature low-profile lines and a flat heel, which make these color guard shoe styles great for pairing with most uniforms.
Flexibility is also must when choosing the right color guard and winterguard shoe. The Capezio Show Stopper Jazz and the Capezio Jazz feature excellent arch flexibility for a full range of motion.
Most guard footwear comes in black or tan, while majorette boots often come in black and white. Guard sandals typically come in natural colors to maintain a barefoot look. If you don’t find the perfect match, many groups default to tan. To help maintain clean lines and camouflage any gaps between your uniform and shoe, remember to wear the appropriate socks. If your shoes are black then lightweight black trouser socks are an excellent choice. If your shoes are tan then we recommend Capezio's line of footed and transition tights.
